Who We Are

The Navigator Mission

Our Mission

To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.

What We’re About

The Word of God

“May the word of Christ dwell in you richly…” -Colossians 3:16

The Navigators at UW-Whitewater strive to be a community where lives are built on, and shaped around God’s Word. We look to the Bible as God’s living, inspired, & authoritative Word. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 Rooted in this belief, we place great emphasis on in-depth Bible study, personal quiet time, and scripture memory.

Discipleship

“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.”               -1 Corinthians 11:1

Our vision is to be a ministry where more mature staff and students are helping younger students to follow Jesus & become grounded in their faith. 1 to 1 mentoring is a major part of everything we do in The Navs. It is our mission not to just pass on ideas and teachings, but convictions and skills through personal investment.

Outreach

“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes …” -Romans 1:16

The Navigators are passionate about sharing the gospel! We desire to not so much to be defined by our meetings & events, as by transformed people living and discipling amongst the lost.

Prayer & The Promises of God

”If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.” -John 15:7

We long to be a people demonstrating dependence through personal and corporate prayer. We want to draw close to God, to hear His voice, and by faith to plead the promises He has given us in His Word.

Community of Grace

“But let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” -Hebrews 10:25

It is our heart to be a loving family, serving and building up others. We want to pray for and to cultivate authentic, trusting relationships in our group, where students sense God’s love and grace, and feel the freedom to be real with each other.
